TV: Fringe
See, FOX? This is how good a sci-fi show can get when you don't cancel it midway through its first season, or shunt it around from timeslot to timeslot through a second season. Fringe has become, for me, appointment television, and you can read why over at Slant Magazine.

This has become one of the shows that I can't leave on my DVR anymore without consuming immediately. Who knew after such a crappy Season 1.
I know, right? Although Walter's always been enough of a draw to keep me watching. SyFy has a lot of comic characters on its programming, as does Joss Whedon, but Fringe was the first to really sell me on a seriocomic lead.
